In an era where most people use ear buds as their headphone of choice, these Philips retro headphones might seem like an odd choice. But if you need effective folding noise-canceling headphones, this over-the-ear model is ideal for most uses.
The Philips HN 110 Noise-Canceling Headphones isn’t as expensive as some of the competitors, but it is every bit as sturdy and effective. Noise cancellation technology hasn’t changed all that much in the past thirty years. The headphones cancel noise by using tiny microphones mounted on the outside of each ear cup to sample outside noise. The headphones then create a cancellation signal that blocks much of the noise.

The Reviews:
These headphones have gotten complaints that they don’t filter outside sound as effectively as top-end units. But other online reviews have argued it does do a solid job of blocking the main sound problems and given the unit’s cost, these headphones will fit the needs of most people, at a cost much lower than the competitors in the marketplace.
